Use a jig head with a purple tail with silver flakes in it. A friend of mine caught 6lbs Walleye and some browns on the river with that combo! Cheers Joe.

san juan worms work good for whites last time we were there. But even with strike indicators u could not tell if u had a hit. Keep a tight line.

i thougth you said in the winter? now were talking about fly fishing....any who if u are talking about hard water i wouldnt chance going out on that lake in the winter ive seen ppl get in trouble out there in the winter, the ice is very unstable due to the spill gates. just my 2 cents

Great place to do a little sight fishing. If you move slowly and scan the water theres lots of fish downstream of the diversion tunnels. Even if you spook them just stay still and they will move back in. I had no problems stalking whitefish and the odd brown with small Bloodworms and Caddis pupal.
