Went to Sylvan this morning. Just had the truck but had no problem getting around. I put it in 4 wheel low and kept a constant speed.

Had to really work for the fish. Had 2 come in right away but missed on both hook sets. It finally picked up by 10:30 and I managed to land 4:

Had my 5th one up in the hole a few times but just couldn't get it.

Went to Gull in the afternoon and got on a Brownlows. Getting around was a bit more challenging but still possible. I even broke some new trails. Saw many species and caught none. Didn't stay long though, I was gone by 2:30 p.m. I enjoyed the drive back on the backroads. The snow, though a big pain, does make the landscape a pleasure to look at.

Also saw a lot of deers including a buck that had more antlers that I have ever seen. Must have been quite a mature one. Wish I would have stopped for a pic.

Cheers!

I was out at Sylvan yesterday as well. Managed to land this 9-10lb pike. It was my first time out there so I was pretty happy.

Tons of white fish are caught on a wire worm tipped with a maggot......

If you want whites go to half moon bay! Theres ton in the shallow 5 foot water. Use a plain hook tipped with 2 maggots. Put the hook on the bottom and slowly bring it up. You will catch lots this way!
