My my northern i got this summer 45 inchs dont know how heavy since in manitoba its not by wait just length in inchs im thinking somewhere 25-30 or somewhere in between caught at lodge i work at in northern Manitoba.

Here is a still water Rainbow caught by my wife, but I netted it and she took the pic. Didn't get a measurement but it was ridiculously fat and 20"+. Caught on the flyrod, and yes, it was at Lake X.

Next one was my biggest brown of 2011 out of the Bow. I only get to fish it a couple times a year so I was happy. Around 22" and really healthy. Saw it come all the way up through 5 feet of water and inhale my dry fly after a couple of refusals. Perfect.

for anyone wondering why people don't post pictures or post stories anymore.... The above quotes is why. I know this is gonna stir up some ****, but i don't care.

People on this forum post pictures to show their prized catch, and who gives a **** if it "looks" like its 5 lbs lighter than what the story says. No one asked for your opinion about the weight of the fish!! Just enjoy a person enjoying their prized catch ffs (for **** sakes, for anyone wondering).

Seriously, who cares what the stated weight of a fish is, as sportsman, we should just all enoy in the fact that another fellow sportsman is doing well and enjoying what he does at the same time! ( i just realised i said "he", but it should be substituted to "he or she")

a lot of people on this forum need to take a deep breath and ****ing relax! The reason we're all on this forum is to either a) share info with another sportsman, or b) tell stories about the happenings with other fellow sportsman.

So what gives you (anyone) the right to belittle someone who comes to this forum looking for a little help, or looking to share a fun story.

Obviously i'm no "forum police" and people will act the way they feel like, but seriously people, lets have a little common courtesy for our fellow sportsman!

Nice Perch.. Damn its been a few years since I got into a mess of Perch like that..

I remember a few northern lakes over the years that we used to go into. Some winter access only lakes. We would fill up a 5 gallon bucket with 15 Perch,, no kidding.. The lakes are still there but unfortunately I am not.. Oh well they will be there waiting for my retirement lol...

ya, the largest football was longer than the bottom of my fishin hole pales ;) and they were quite tasty too :) were the only ones we iced, but we also lost probly the same amount, and the baitthiefs kept the bite a bit more frequent haha ... I remember going to utikima lake probly close to 10 yrs ago, and catching nothing but those big footballs:scared0018:

It's not...many hunt for black bear from boats...but it's there for personal safety obviously :) Pirates are common on the coast lol
