can you have a light in the tent just so you can see

Hmm looks like kind of a grey area! I would say yes as you are ice fishing and the light isn't being directly pointed into a hole. Otherwise anyone who had a truck on the ice could receive a fine if they jumped in to warm up and the daytime running lights came on. I use a battery operated led one that has a fan built in to circulate the air. It's also a matter of safety for you and the fish you catch.

Yes you can have a light in your tent. The regs have changed and you can even have a light on your line if you so choose (ie a glow stick) etc. It has to be on your line though. Pg 18 in the regs.
