I rigged up a tip up in 15 feet of water and jigged in a second hole. I hooked one small pike on a minnow this morning but lost it. Later on my flag popped and I landed a small pike. http://i202.photobucket.com/albums/aa244/moosehunter30/P2100049.jpg
It spit my bait back onto the ice when I pulled it out so after releasing the fish I reused the same herring and suspended it off bottom at the same depth. An hour later the flag went up again. I let it run for a good 10 feet and set the hook. It took a long run right away so I said it must be at least 8 pounds. After a few good runs I got her up to the hole and realized it was a lot bigger then 8 pounds  about twice that size. I seen my leader half way in it's mouth so I knew she was hooked good. I let it swim past the hole then when I brought it back it took another run. Got her up to the hole a second time and finally got it's head straight in the hole and pulled it through. http://i202.photobucket.com/albums/aa244/moosehunter30/P2100062.jpg
My face is pretty knarly with some beautiful pimples but just appreciate that the fish takes up most of the pic
Weighed in at 15.5 pounds and measured 38.5 inches without tail pinched - 39" with tail pinched. 18" girth. http://i202.photobucket.com/albums/aa244/moosehunter30/P2100060.jpg
Got one more pike then figured it was a good idea to leave since the snow was melting making getting off the lake pretty damn impossible.
