Scoping cooey model 60

I figured I would ask peoples opinions here I actually don't want to scope this little rifle as it is perfect
But I am having more and more problems with open sights on a 20 in barrel that front bead disappears at the worst time never used to happen and I think thats out of range to use Bifocals

any suggestions as to an alternative sighting method that doesn't put holes in my gun?

Try painting the front sight bright white,orange or red.
