Try deep south and east side. Private would be Mckenzie lake aross the highway the Bow River or slide over behind to Carburn park for a public pond to fish. Several on the board fish there.

For a non-private lake, the closest I can think of to New Brighton is Chestermere. Otherwise there's a trout pond in High River but I've never been there so not sure if it holds any fish in the winter. As mentioned before, Carburn in the city would be another option.

Or alternatively fish the Bow as it's open year round down south, just watch for the ice chunks in the winter.
