Stainless featherweight

Hey guys, new to the forum, looking for some feed back on the new winchester model 70 stainless featherweight. I want to add a model 70 to my collection, I was recently at the gun shop and held a featherweight and really like the way it shouldered and felt in my hands, it was the blued version but the stock on it had a real nasty knot in the wood. I've done some reasearch on the net about it and most reviews are positive and are fairly good shooters, just looking for guys who own one or shot one and what do you think of them. im looking into a long action either the 270 or .30.06, my future plans for it would be to upgrade to a mcmillan stock, and eventually re-barreled to a 280 or 280 AI or something like that since i just got into reloading.
