Yes indeed one of the proudest moments being a Dad.
His 1st shot earlier this fall with the Carl Gustaf .270 stung him a bit so I was a bit apprehensive when he was so gung-ho in loading up two shells and walking up to where three does and a fawn walked over the hill. "make sure the safety is on if you chamber one'..."I know Dad".
He walks 75 yards or so to the crest, peers over, shoulders the .270, scopes and BOOM !..Chambers a second, scopes, looks back @ me motions that he is walking over to where he was originally scoping/shooting.
20 minutes pass ( which seem like an eternity), he comes back over the hill from a different spot...I yell..Did you get him, nothing, did you get him !!??
'Yep, got him Dad" I come un-glued with happiness.
He stalked up, shouldered and shot with no stick, tree or leaning post and drilled this neat little buck with a double lung shot...
Very proud indeed !:D
