Badger lake ice conditions

Im just wondering what the latest and greatest ice conditions are for Badger lake?? I havent been out fishing for a good month now, and im not up to snuff on ice conditions.

Was there on Sunday. The ice is 32" thick on north end. Not really any snow to speak of on the lake and saw a Honda civic get on and get around no problem at all.

I was there last Tues/Wed and had 1 hit after fishing both days hard. Strong east wind did not help matters any. That's Badger though; hopefully it picks up for the Derby this weekend.

All of the above. Badger's always hit and miss but there's always a bunch of home runs come derby time.

I think the only ice a guy has to worry about are the ice heaves that show up on that lake.It should be the town of badger lake on the weekend with all the campers on the lake. I was going to pull the trailor out today but I think I will wait till tommorow with the forcast to be minus 27 tonight.Maybe this will be my year to pull a fish of a lifetime onto the ice. My personal best 22lbs. not enough to get on the leader board that year.There has been a few years not even a bite all weekend makes for a long weekend.See you on the ice GOOD LUCK.

We will be at the northwest end and in a white F350 crewcab pulling an older 18ft. green Wilderness trailor with fliped axels.Stop in to keen your fishing senses.

I guess from what I have read so far, there are no more tickets? Am I right? I am taking my son, it's his last day here for his visit. Would be nice to be in the derby, but if not we can just fish.

Would have to call the Commercial Hotel in Lomond to see if there are tickets left. I suspect they have increased the number of tickets available the last couple years. Seems like more & more people every year.

Just called the hotel. Tickets still available but they took them all to the lake. Tix available at the quanset as of now.

2 dodge trucks with a camper on a flatbed trailer. paul & rob.

just got a message....not a ton of fish being caught. surprise,surprise. but some good ones on the board. 27lbs in first and you'll have to crack 20lbs to get into 5th. great start.

Two of use fished all day with 4 bites and one fish caught.Maybe 24in.One my partner lost one at the hole the same size.Maybe tommorow if we don't frezze tonigh.It was -32 this morning and forcast for -22 tonight.

11:00AM Sat. On Badger didn't freeze lastnight woke up to a nice morning,but bad fishing sofar no bites.You will need a 30 pounder to win mybe this afternoon.

There's people in their RVs that haven't come out all day & others that left their gear down overnight. Holes are so frozen over I don't think they could fit their bait through the hole so I could see this being true but coulda been a hammer handle under the above circumstances.

My highlight today was driving about 750 yards to cut off a runaway tent they didn't even notice missing.

Slow day 1 fish. Saw a 21+ pike weight in with 5 minuts left in the day. The only fish weighed in that made the leader board for 5th place.Maybe I will win a door prize tommorow.
