Hope someone can help me with t his one:
Friend of mine has a model 94 .38-55 (sorry, cannot offer any more details than that) and it is in what my amateurish eye would call very good shape. She is in her sixties now and that rifle was left to her by her father.
Anyway, she is interested in knowing what the rifle might be worth and I was hoping someone on this site might be in a position to hazard a guess. Sorry for the scarcity of details. I have seen the rifle but do not remember if it had barrel bands or not. I am reasonably sure the barrel is longer than 20".
Thank-you.

There is one listed right now on CGN in the antiques forum it looks in decent but not immaculate shape, looks fairly similar to what you are describing.
It's listed for $1500.
I'm no expert by any means but this might give you somewhat of a general idea.

Thank-you very much:
Your answer to me is right in league with another estimate so I think I will be able to fly with that one.
Thanks again,
