So I got out today with the rifle and some 140 gr TSX's and 120 gr TSX's that were shooting pretty good.

I had some Sierra 100 gr HP that I never really worked up real well as I was more interested in the 120 gr TSX. but today, I decided I would give them a good run.

I loaded up the Sierra's with 45 and 45.5 grains of varget.

Well snappin arseholes, the 45.5 gr was the magic pill. and it is zinnnggging along.

After a quick sight in, me and my little guy were off after coyotes...

At 250 yrds I saw a mangey coyote trotting accross an opening.

BANG!....ssssssssssssssssswwwwwwwwuuuump... bam! Bang Flop!

I LOVE THESE LITTLE BULLETS !!!!!!!!

a few pics...

I remember someone recomending Sierra bullets to you a while back.....OH Ya that was me.:scared0018: They are great target /varmint bullets and usually shoot real well. Not my first choice for big game work but for punching, paper, coyotes or gophers they are great. Usually doesn't take much to get them shooting either.

Great pics as always! Hope the spring comes early so we can find some bears and some beers. :happy0180:

Yup, 7mm-08.

I went out today to try and play with the load a bit and get on target with the B&C reticle.

It was nothing more than 30 minutes of fun fooling around and shooting off the pack and bipod.

with a steady rest and the right guy at the helm...there is potential.

The shots look all over the place, but I was playing with 10x and the graduations and then 7x and the graduations.

Nice little shooting trailer Mike! Good to have you back too.....

I'm always interested in what you're doing with your 7-08, I'd still like to get together with you sometime and play with some loads/bullets....time to do it is always the problem though....I"m pushing through the weekend to finish off a house for KCM, so the wife and I can fly off tuesday to Costa Rica for a well deserved vacation. I completely missed my favorite coyote season, after buying a call and everything! Crap! However, when I get back I still want to go out and try getting a few. That pic you posted up looks like what I expect will happen when I zap one with my new 300 win mag....which I haven't even had time to put a round through yet. Crap crap!!

All work and no play makes TC a dull boy. Any spare time I have, and it's off to a hockey game with the boy somewhere. Or fixing all the holes the little...boy.....has put in my garage wall/overhead door this past week shooting his pucks. Crap crap crap!!!!!:fighting0030:

I used 140gr Sierra Game Kings in my .270 a couple years in a row. They did the trick on 2 bucks. I wasn't well educated on bullets at that time and used them just to get away from the nosler bt, which I had a bit of trouble with.

I'll give you a shout when I get back, I expect to have a great time. Rum is a fine substitute for German Boch this time of year, too....

Was in Dawson tonight for All Peace playoffs (semi's)....had time before the game to go to corlane's and while there picked up a box of 140 gr TTSX, so good to load a few with you!

The boy had a hat trick and a couple of helpers for 5 points tonight, beat Dawson 9-3 (should have been 9-1, but a couple of uglies got through early)...so John is leading his team in points by a safe margin this year. 3 more playoff games, on to provincials end of March....and then spring hockey starts. And power skating as well....I don't know if I'm ever going to have the $ for the Remington 700 VSSF II in .22-250 I want. They have one at Corlanes that I wanted to handle. I shouldn't have, I want it bad now for 'yotes. What a sweet rifle. Soon....very soon.......:scared0015:
