I just remembered about it now. Eight years back, I and my old man decided to fish Paddle River Reservoir near Sangudo. It was like minus 20. We get set up and start walking out. We get to the middle and find this black spot on the ice. My Dad taps on the spot thinking it was an old ice fishing hole. To my horror, the ice breaks from under him and he goes in up to his knees.:sign0068: To say the least it was as scary as h*ll. He yells at me to run for shore and I do so. I see him quickly pull himself back onto the ice. Phew what a relief. As we get closer to the parking lot, amazingly, we decided that we still wanted to fish. We drill a hole with our manual auger and drill through in a few seconds.:scared0018:.
At the same time of the year all of the lakes in the area had over 2ft of ice on them. This is a fully true event.
If any one else plans on going there in the winter, you may want to rethink going there.
