Does anyone own a 2011 Eco Boost Ford F150 and want to give a good review of it. I have an 08 F150 Supercrew FX4 4x4 with the 5.4 and going off lease soon and am really thinking of trying out an Eco Boost V6. I am set on getting another F150 Supercrew just trying to pick the Engine thanks. Have already read the online ones as well just wondering how they are handling our lovely temps. Thanks Again Russ

I was just looking at them on the ford employe site and the videos. I can't belive how hands down it beats the chev 5.3 and dodge 5.7 pulling a trailer up a hill, and looks tough.

If you looking to buy a new ford wait till may and come up to lac
La biche I'll be up in sales, even if you just want to test Some out. :)

The Ecoboost sure sounds great when ya read about it,pulls like a diesel and gets better mpg than every half ton.
Most people are probably gonna be concerned about durability and repair costs.
Once the weather gets nicer Im gonna take one for a rip....almost scared to tho cause I might like it a lot.....then want it:scared0018:
Not that many of them on the road right now so it's gonna take a while for opinions to come out!

There have been tests done by Trucktrend,Pickuptruck.com.....probably others too that pretty much say the same thing.
The Ecoboost combines awesome power with great mpg.....
And I am far from a Ford lover.

I was digging to see if there was tempature testing. I guess the dyno they used to put 150,000+ miles on it also does constant tempature testing dropping down to -40 and back up to 200f in under 15 minutes. No problems were reported, even after they threw that engine in a truck pulling cars around a track for 24 hours non stop, pulling timber up a mountain and completing the baha race. They tore the engine open after all that and everything was still within the new operating specs.

I think all those videos are on YouTube as well if you want to check them out.

I just bought a new super crew 3 weeks ago with the 5L,didnt even know about the ecoboost until after I bought mine or I would have bought one.I like the 5L it seems to have more power then my 2007 5.4

I have been reading a few things from the states and it seems like they are not getting that munch better then the 5l for mpg. They say they are fun to drive, but they are already discounting the eco-boost $500 in the states to try and get more people into that engine. The discount is only available on the xlt edition, which seems odd.

It is hard to say if the price difference is worth it. Would wait and see what owners say, but not many out there yet. There is a couple at the dealers in medicine hat.
