Hi, I was wondering if any body else watched the T.V. series "Two and a Half Men". It's very disheartening to hear that the series could be ended for good. :angry3: :sad0020: By the sounds of it, Charlie Sheen was boligerantly ridiculing the the show creator and has frequently been in rehab.

Yeah, that moron. I always liked Sheen, but what a whacko. There are a lot of people out of a job because of him, production crew, cast, etc, supposedly as many as 200 people. He will be popular in the networks for a while.

Sorry for those of you that enjoy that show. I dont mind. I have never liked Charlie Sheen or the show. I heard part of his interview and he is a mess.:bad_boys_20::sign0161:

Loved the show...Sheen, not so much...pretty much typifies the spoiled Hollywood brat. Boohoo. Too bad he cost all those people their jobs etc...I hope they replace him with some no-name actor that deserves a shot. How about Dean Cain...lol. Just do the old Bewitched Darin switcheroo....nobody will notice.

Oh don't anybody worry - Sheen is now clean and sober.

In fact, in an interview he said that he just closed his eyes, and in a nano-second, he had purified himself and cured his disease, because he is THAT strong, and THAT much of a winner!

:bad_boys_20:

True story, I heard the interview! What a whack! lol

The show had its moments, sometimes it was funny. I watched it from time to time and wasn't a big fan. There was so many sexual references it sometimes just came off as lame potty humour. To dirty to be funny.

I'll stick to Seinfeld re-runs. :)

Yeah, unfortunately this reflects my feelings about the show as well. As you move from one season to the next, you feel like you're slowly circling the bowl, moving closer and closer to that ominous drain below...

The first few seasons I enjoyed.. the last few... not so much.

Yes...I've always dreamt of being a woman beating, miserable SOB with a life debilitating addiction and an embarassing penchant for ladies of the night. COOL!!

Just goes to show...money can't buy happiness.

My apologies if I missed any sarcasm there.

I will give him a million awesome points for not giving a ***** what anyone thinks.

Unfortunately, I have to retract 3 million awesome points for reasons mentioned above.

I don't know why they don't just replace him. How many Darrin's did we go through? You young guy's won't know what I'm talking about but it's time to show him he's expendable. He's only one of the cast of several.

Hopefully there will be something decent to replace the work the show staff (not the writers) lost.
The world will be a better place overall.

Yeah, I think that show has about run its course anyway. If you're in the market for a newer show, I have to recommend Modern Family. It's extremely well written, clever and blends just the right amount of family humor and "eye candy" for us dads.... Sofia Vergara - yowza!!!!! Heck, it even has Ed O'Neil (Al Bundy).

Plus, Big Bang Theory, How I met your Mom, both are great, BBT is the better of the two.

OMG!! Really? It's over? :scared0015::scared0015:

It just means more time I'll spend staring at the wall. I can't believe Charlie Sheen has done this to me.:angry3: What am I supposed to do now? What a selfish SOB.:angry3:

Oh wait I can watch "Wipeout".

For those who haven't seen it , it is a commentary on modern life. Contestants line up to fall down to get up to fall down again. It's like real life except the real part.

I watch tv and movies etc. But I have not been able to figure out the adoration that is heaped on actors. Even the ones that don't do the drugs and many marriages trip are still just people pretending to be someone else.
What is their contribution to making the world a better place?

There are lots of people out of work who contribute a lot more to this world than these actors do.

My apologies if I missed any sarcasm there.

You forgot the wonderful example he gives to his numerous children. I'm sure that in between the endless booze, coke and hooker/porn tramp binges he has plenty of time for lots of stand-up parenting. I feel we would all be humbled by his fatherly skills.

I feel for his kids. The various mothers, not so much; they at least had a choice.

Absolutely. I bought all 3 seasons on DVD, and they will be worn out from being watched before they get dust on them.

But Jason Biggs, I just can't stand him. He can't act, is just a whiny little pcekerhead, will always be "Jim from American Pie". He does not know how to create another character, or the writers always ride the pie train.

The show is practically based on his own life.... booze... hookers... and womanizing. As much as the truth hurts, it was a funny as hell show. I believe I heard that HBO was trying to put it on as CBC cancelled it for good.

I only started watching it last April, as I was on night shift pulling turnpikes for so many years I never got to watch evening television.

Another one I really like is "How I Met Your Mother"

What I don't understand is why all the trips to rehab? He clearly has no intentions or desire to be sober. He likes sex, booze and drugs and doesn't care if it's socially acceptable or not.

Anyone else miss the sitcoms of yesteryear? 'Night Court', 'Cheers', 'WKRP', 'Soap' even 'Get Smart' and 'The Beverly Hillbillies'?

I may have to subscribe to the oldies channel on cable.....

Charlie must be a pretty big disappointment to his father. Whether you agree with his politics or not, Martin Sheen seems to have pretty strong principles and convictions and believes in trying to do something for society. All Charlie seems to contribute to are the wallets of drug dealers and pimps.

Yin and yang. If it weren't for one no need for the other. Charlie does his part.:)

Kinda reminds me of "Little Big Man" with dustin Hoffman.
Chief Dan George from North Van was in the movie and was nominated for an oscar. I couldn't figure out why. He played an Indian. How could he not be good at it?:)

Martin Sheen spent the majority of his time doing "Apocalypse Now" stoned and eventually had a heart attack on set.

Hell, it's a lifestyle when your a hollywood actor with $90 million in the bank...and more enroute :bad_boys_20:

It doesn't matter if the show is cancelled or not, they made enough episodes to make re-runs worth watching. It's one of those shows that if you've seen 5episodes,you've seen them all.

Charlie Sheen is an absolute loser though, but I guess it's his life to live. I don't feel too sorry women that he has been involved with. They can't exactly be shocked with his actions. It's not like his reputation is that of a stand up,well respected guy.
