Hi. Can anyone suggest a place I can buy good thick sheepskin near Edmonton? I plan to use it for custom mittens. Thanks. :)

It depends on if you want a finished product or just the hide. When you 'Google' your question you will find that most suppliers are in either Australia, New Zealand or England.

Try an Alberta Sheep and wool site.

Maybe a call to one of them will point you in the right direction.
Hope this will help.

Contact Halfords Hide in Edmonton, they should be able to help you out.

Thanks all for the great suggestions. This looks like a good start. I know there's a wool farm out of central Alberta (Pasu Farms) but was looking for something closer to Edmonton. Best regards.

Not sure if it's what you're looking, for, but I bought one from Ikea for a motorcycle seat cover. I don't think it was all that expensive (or I wouldn't have bought it :) )It was a full size sheep skin, and it has stood up to several thousand km of my fat axx sitting on it, so it should work for mitts?

Hey, this is good because I live near an IKEA and it would be a quick end to a search if they have something suitable. Thanks!
