View Full Version : Great day at Wabamun

Had an awesome time at wabamun today. Was able to catch a couple not to bad sized ones aswell!! not overly busy but had steady action all day and iced about 6 pike, the biggest being just under 16lbs. The weather was unbelievable. sunny and warm and just an overall very pleasant day out on the ice.

Gosh darnit. I must suck at fishing. Or doing something wrong!!?!? I was out by wab town today and only 1fish :(. Congrats on ur catches tho!!

where I was I wasnt able to drive on, had to walk. with the weather so warm the snow was really broken up and slushy. worried about breaking through the top layer of snow and ice into the floodwater again. didnt want to go through that whole fiasco again.

The ice is fine to drive on I was on it today.. Hear no cracking which isn't good but still seemed aight like 20" of ice

I was on at least 30" of ice at wabamun yesterday. Believe me I felt every inch of it through my manual auger.

Nice fish dude I've been driving out In my for days now the snow Isnt that bad

I was in a bay on the southside. For a while I had been driving and making a path down to the lake since there's no road going to it but it got to deep to drive especially on the ice.
