Burbot- fry fillets & cut them into small pieces . put them on a plate , cover with plastic wrap & let cool. Then you can warm them up in the microwave & use shrimp sauce or tartar sauce , etc. Add fries , salad & enjoy.

Whitefish- chop up white onion , celery & add salt & pepper . In a caserole dish, cake dish etc. place a layer of fillets, then the celery & onion mixture, more fillets & so on. Then pour a can of tomato soup over the top of the dish & bake in the oven for 1 hour. Yummmm!!!:):):)

How's the ice condition there? Still thick enough to drive a full size truck on?

hey just wondering are the burbot and whitefish still going to be active and all that next week? I was hoping to hit up sylvan next week and was wondering what I should try to target?

skin'em like you're taking off a sock, takes some practice,, gut em but remember to keep the liver,, fry it and eat it on toast with lotsa pepper.

Burbs are perfect for fish'n chips but try to eat asap, they don't taste so good after being frozen. Likewise, they keep well in the fridge for a few days cleaned.
