cancun fishing

im headed to a time share in canun in may. I want to take a charter out and try to catch a shark. I get that i can charter the boat with random people or pay to charter the boat myself. Whats the best way to go about this. Just looking for some advice and possible experiences from either route.

I dont know if you will find a boat that will solely target shark. I think its hit and miss with the sharks but I could be wrong. If you are serious about fishing, I think the only way to really have an excellent experience you need to charter a boat yourself. I have done this several times and have not regreted spending the extra money. Last time I fished cancun i went with fish r us and caught 3 nice sailfish in 4 hours including a double header. Also caught what I think is called a Friget bird. Interesting day!
