Was just wondering if anyone has been out there fishing the open water yet? If so how did you make out? I was out there last year about this time with no luck but wouldn't mind giving it a shot again.

headed out there twice this winter to try open water and both times it was shut down and part frozen over. Is it always shut down on the weekends? went to the main lake futher down and fished for about 2 hours no bites. couldn't get in shallow enough water and the sunken trees were to far to drag all my gear too.
