going out and trying to decide where ideas?

so anyways going out to do some ice fishing. have not figured out where yet this time of year with different closures and such. not to picky on species but would like to get onto some fish. will be leaving from the calgary area so please keep that in mind where i am definatly willing to drive 3 or 4 hours i am not wanting an 8 hour journey. any input would be greatly appreciated or anyone that might want to come along. it will be me and my cousin going. thank you in advance

If your driving south, don't count on thick ice. I wouldn't go out around here (Lethbridge)

Lots of ice in the mountains, and up north. Lots of snow too!
