My good buddy Ed, who is a homicide officer in Conneticiut has passed on some important information which I want to share with everyone here.

Probably you all know about the dangers out there for kids, but this video really brings it home. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N2vARzvWxwY

Take a photo of your child (or whayever) at school, at the park, at home, at work and anybody can pull up a map of each photos location via GPS link to the camera/phone !!!

It's not a safety concern, it's a feature. If you're not aware of the features an item provides, then you shouldn't be buying the item. I was excited when the Blackberry Bold 9700 fixed their geotagging. My dad took a picture when they were in Mazatlan, after I told him to turn his on:

If you download the picture and right-click it and go into it's properties, there is a section for GPS. You can see that the above picture was taken at:

Latitude: 23.247949999999987083333333333333 or 23*14'52.6999999"
Longitude: -106.45216666666666344444444444444 or -106*27'7.7999999"

Open it up in Google Maps and:

Which looks like they were standing beside Captain Moe's Bed and Breakfast. It's neat to be able to reference exactly where one was standing when a picture was taken. It's a feature, one that any responsible user should know how to turn on and off.
