Hi!
I' m always angry when i lost effective or expensive lure. Because of that i made myself a few retrievers and I use them i different conditions.
What is your expierience? Have you got a photo of your retrievers?

These are my: Lure retrievers (http://poland-fishing.blogspot.com/p/lure-retrievers.html)

Cool,

Thanks for sharing.

I'm glad I can help :)

Did you ever use some lure retriever?

Not yet, I fish mostly jigs for walleye and flies for everything else. I don't get too upset about losing either one as they're only about $1 or less. If I fished crank baits or more expensive lures I would probably invest.

That brings back memories the black round bar retriever looks just like the one my grandfather had made years ago.I had it after he passed but it was taken when a tackle box was stolen out of my truck. Was always going to make one but ended up buying one instead. You got me thinking maybe I will make one just like gramp's had. Thanks for the memories Fario. The new one may benice but it's not the same.

Cheers..H..

Pretty cool ideas Fario :)

I fish so much in the North Saskatchewan River that I think I've just become desensitized to losing lures

Reviving this thread because I have left too many lures in ponds, creeks and rivers in this, my first year of fishing. Upgrading to new, hopefully more reliable, line this weekend. (Beginners mistake the $1 line from Bass Pro sale... never ever again.) I'd like to know if this is really any use for shore spinbait casting? With that last one - made out of net are those magnets in the middle, and aren't you afraid of leaving the net behind too?

Hi! While shore fishing it is hard to reach the bait with your lure retriever if it is far from you. For short distances it is ok. The last retriever has no magnets - it is just piece of lead to make it heavy. If i lost it (very very rare i use 65LB braid for this retriever) I just make another one - It cost me nothing - lost lure cost sometimes a LOT more :)

Best regards
