Hi guys, just joined the forum. I'm coming over to Alberta for a couple of months this year and want to make the most of it while I'm there so thought I would join up and get the feel for things.
I'm based in the UK and do a bit of deer stalking, managing Roe deer on a local estate. Also controlling rabbits with my Remmy VSSF .223 :fighting0007:.
Cheers

Welcome aboard, what part of Alberta are you going to be in ?
If its central drop a line and maybe we can get out and show you around.

Going to be in the Medicine Hat area. Working a lot of the time but should get some time off to get out and about.

Things to bring: Marmite, branston pickle, cordials/squash (like Ribena - they have NO concentrated cordial drinks in Canada)

Ha ha, I'm not emigrating, just coming over with work, can live without marmite an ribena for a couple of months. Coors and chicken wings make a great replacement!!:happy0180:

Heh, I guess. I'm dangerous when I haven't had my marmite fix for a while :)

I take you will be doing work at the base? In Ralston there is a gas station and confectionary, they have a "Brit" section there with lollies and such if you miss things from home :)
Welcome!

Welcome to the Forum, and to Alberta, when you get here.
If you were to wind up in the Peace River area of northern Alberta, make sure to drop me a line, I'd be happy to show you around and introduce you to some interesting folks.
By the way, you will find a throng of your countrymen came before you, I'm sure you'll feel right at home here.

Welcome to the forum. I am also an ex-pat, and spent the first 20 years of my life in Belfast. I have been in Canada for many, many years and now live in Medicine Hat. Drop me a line when you get here & I will show you some of the country.
Cheers,
Nigel
