Well, i couldn't be outside today so i started the fly tying. I have turned my favorite streamer pattern into ice fishing jigs (see pic) and was wondering if anyone knows a source for the polar chenile? I can find the golden yellow kind thats even length (cactus chenile) but i can't find any of the uneven chenile style (polar). I need more brown for my favorite combination, any tips? I got some drys done as well, bit rusty after not getting any done for so long but theres some size 10's to 18's ready for next summer. Cutthroat Candy is my new favorite dry to tye!!

Anyone have any favorite jig color combo's for perch? I think those jigs should work, cleaned up catching brookies last winter but i'm always looking for new patterns.

I always went down by the Crowsnest Pass or down to a few lakes by the Shell Waterton gas plant. Lots of good brookie lakes down there, no guilt in keeping 5 either.

Check out http://www.goneflyfishin.ca/
Dont see any on the site but they are still in the process of getting it up and running. I know that they have lots of stock not on the site yet and if they dont have it they can probably get it. Just send them a message and see if it available and if so they will ship it to you. Usually cheaper than picking it up yourself at a store
