View Full Version : Bow and SSR today

Lots of open water from 875 and southwards, lots of ice jams too. Maybe by May opener the ice will be gone finally. SSR wide open in the Hat, and looking mighty muddy.
Casting finger getting pretty itchy now.

4 hours later a lot of this jam had shifted and moved a bit further down the SSR.

Even saw what I am positive was 3 golden eagles coming back from winter vacation as well just off the river. Couldnt get too close to them unfortunately.

secret no, depends on how much water you need. I know you can put in off the shore at the Forks tho, seen it done.

done it many times there....looking for something up higher/upstream

dont need much water just a fairly hard bottom

oh ok lol that is the lower bow i didnt reconize it without all the fisherman from shore

dont need much water just a fairly hard bottom

well Im still new to the area, but there are a couple canoe launch sites not far away, one just off 36 and one just off 875. not sure of the bottom tho. have to check them out this season I guess. dont know if they would be suitable or not.

dude the only fishermen Ive ever seen around here on the river is my lady and myself. no crowding in this hood.

i can bring planks....but i need to know more accesses to the water in that area.....i'll be in touch.....you get me launched and you ride for free??
