my travel agency just changed my hotel on me with 6 days notice. I was supposed to go to Cancun, but now am going to Playa del Carmen. I already had an idea with who I would go deep sea fishing, but now have to change it.

I read previous posts and searched the web for charters. I emailed a few and some said they were booked solid. if anybody has been there, do you have suggestions? It is just me and 1 other person, and would like sailfish. we would also only need a smaller boat (25-29'??). I guess there are no docks there or somethings so how far do I have to go to fish?

Or you could follow your original plan at Cancun. It's not that far.

true, it is about 70 km tho, so it is still a drive. I did hear there is great sailfish fishing around there.

playa is far better than cancun go down to the beach in the morning there are lots of guides waiting to take you out and it is a good chance it will be cheaper there.make sure and go to xcaret the night show is awsome.

I was talking to capt rick's receptionist and she said she will give me a deal on a 31' for 3/4 of the day. $500 instead of the $560 the website says. I wonder if I should book it, or wait until I get there. I guess capt rick has pretty much the best guides around

I've used Capt Rick twice and would use him again, great fish and awesome crew Caught Cuda's Sailfish Dorados. They can pull out of the harbor and start fishing, don't have to travel far before you fish
