Wondering if anyone has looked at the various welded alum boats and has any ideas on which is the "best" one?

I'm currently looking at the Harbercraft Kingfisher 2525 and seems to be a pretty decent fishing /cruising boat.

There seems to be a wealth of experiences on here and looking to that knowledge for input

Thanks

My dad bought a thunder jet luxour off shore last year. We used on the west coast in some big water chasing halibut and salmon. Great boat!

I have a 2000 Harbercraft 1825 and am very happy with the boat. It has plenty of free board and the drop down transom makes this boat pretty much unswampable. I have hit some rocks hard in CVR and the .160 welded hull barely showed a scratch. These boats are built tough but they are pretty plain. It handles rough water well, it does ride a little rough in the chop but I don't think you could ever damage the boat. Plenty of open space at rear of boat to fight and land fish. I would definately recommend a Harbercraft for anyone looking for a solid fishing boat but if you are looking for a good family boat or want to do any water sports maybe consider another brand.

Thats definately a nice rig. Mines not a jet but an outboard. Excellent boats, durable and can't beat the welded preflex hull, light, easy to launch and never had any problems with the boat.

This is my Dad's harbercraft. the thing is built like a tank, lots of great options for fishing, lots of room, best value in the fishing boat market. you can see the portable cooler seat on the bow, and the playpen in its place. a great option to keep the babies out of trouble.
