Hey, Welcome to the forums!!!
No carp in Alberta except for grass carp! And grass carp aren't exactly easy to catch.
We do however have some great pike and walleye fishing along with some world class trout fishing.
Hope you like it here!

Welcome to the forum, and condolences on the Edmonton thing :bad_boys_20: you tie into some of those NSR Sturgeon and you will probably forget all about carp for a while at least.

college football: Im a texas longhorns fan. the biggest rival in football history is texas and oklahoma university sooners. And Alabama crimson tide I just dont like them. They won the BCS championship over the horns by technicality. Just for the record, if colt McCoy stayed in that game, it would have been a 3 TD difference by half time in favor of the horns.

Welcome.
Not many airboats here.
I would suggest maybe putting some wheels under it. Might be more useful that way.
I would like a picture if you do!

got a few reservoirs in my hood that an airboat would be perfect for. almost far enough from Edmonton.

I was thinking along the same lines. It might be a great choice for the upper reaches of the North Saskatchiwin and some of the mid sized rivers as well. Providing it has skid plates.
Oh and welcome ! Some of us don't want to see Bass introduced to Alberta because of the potential harm it could do to local fish populations.
Others may have other objections. The general consensus seems to be, "no to Bass".
We actually have some awesome Pike and Walleye fishing, plus a number of other fishable species in good numbers and of decent size. Among them, Goldeye, Whitefish, Perch, Grayling, Burbot, Mountain Whitefish, plus a fair verity of Trout species. I think there are even some stocked Salmon Hybrids down south somewhere.

As I recall Kokanee were stocked in a lake somewhere in Kananaskis Country.
To the best of my recollection the lake was named Twin Lake.
This was back in the early to mid 1960s. Between 1964 and 1966 I think.
I first heard of it in the early 1070s while living in Wetaskiwin. Some of us talked of going to fish for them but we never went. Instead we went to Ram River for Cutthroat Trout.
I never knew exactly where this lake was and I have heard nothing since.
But I do believe there is a reference to this in a book called The Atlas of Alberta Lakes. I don't have the book but I'm sure it could be found in any Library. We don't have one in Manning so I can't confirm that.
I haven't heard or read anything about this for over thirty years so I don't know if the fish are still there. Maybe they died off.
