I'll likely end up by 17th ave bridge somewhere as I work just up the street from there, but I work until 4pm....

Maybe you should have started out with a few small ones, & work your way up to the big hawgs??? You've set the bar pretty darned high!:)

This is also my first ever Brown Trout, so that's another bonus. The thing that's confusing me is the colouring of this guy - he was really silvery, not at all brown.
Is that a time-of-year thing? Do they get darker in the summer and fall?

males are darker and delvople a kype in fall.
females like yours are more silvery without kypes
