Reading the regs this is a bit confusing. Can i trap crayfish? For consumption, not bait.

If so, any of you do it successfully? Where?
thanks!

I was just catching them by hand at Henderson Lake the other day with my niece and nephew. I must have caught almost a dozen in 30 minutes some big ones, some smaller ones, some of the where breeding. (filthy buggers right there in the water, in front me the wife and the kids). So when picking them I usually got a few at a time. (I wanted to kill them all but it would not have made sense to the kids so they went back in)

You need to phone the local fish and wildlife for that info. It can be done in places but there are some conditions that you really need to get from your local authority.

watched quite a few of them sniffing at my bait this winter when I was ice fishing. a lot in the Bow down here too, they cut my minnows in half every time I try and use them for bait.
