I have some questions about the regs in BC. As I read them you are allowed to use two lines if you are alone on a boat in lakes. Also what i dont get is how many hooks are you allowed on your line in reguard to lakes. Thanks

You should call or email there fisheries department for the most straight forward answer.

You can only have one thing on your line capable of catching fish. So you can use a lure with multiple hooks on it, but you can't use multiple lures or flies.

All correct but I will add SOME lakes are restricted to single barbless hook. Lots of plugs sold in BC are sold with 2 trebles and a second version with a single hook... Lake specific.

But 2 lines, 1 lure on each line is the general rule.

Lots of lake are NOT barbless as well but ALL streams are single barbless.

IT IS UNLAWFUL TO....

Use more than one fishing line, EXCEPT
a person who is alone in a boat on a lake
may angle with two lines.

Use barbed hooks or a hook with more
than one point in any river, stream, creek
or slough in B.C. (Note: the use of barbed
hooks in lakes is permitted, unless noted in
the Regional Water-Specific Tables)

Definitions
single hook … a hook having only one point.
(In contrast, a treble hook is a hook having
three points on a common shaft.)
Note: use of a treble hook is permitted unless
“single hook” is specified

Sooo, yes you can fish with 2 lines only if you're on a lake in a boat alone.

In rivers you must use 1 single hook with 1 single point with no barb.

In lakes, you can use trebles, and barbs, unless it explicitly tells you (in the section for that lake) that you can't
