Hey y'all,

I just purchased a square-back canoe last night (:sHa_shakeshout:) and needed some advise with picking out a small entry-level fishfinder.

A few features that I would like;
- Cheap (under $150)
- The console to be removable (for transport)
- For it to be mountable in a standard cup-holder (built into the canoe)

I've been looking at a few and I've come up with a couple:
-Lowrance® X-4 Pro Dual-Search Fishfinder

-Garmin echo 150 fishfinder

What are your thoughts?

Thanks in advance!

I have a Lowrance X 67C that I turned into a portable for 30 bucks. Suction cup adapter for transducer is around 15 bucks and I mounted it on a Coleman mini cooler. That holds the cables and jell cell. I've used this setup on a flat back canoe many times as well as on boats as well. Caution though the suction cup doesn't do so well at high speeds.
