Any News from Glenmore?

I am thinking of heading to glenmore tomorrow. I was wondering if anyone went there moday or tuesday? how much did the ice receed?

Any update on this? thinking about heading there to do some biking so might as well bring the rod to try my luck.

I'll be heading out there today after work. Who knows what I'll find. Mainly going after pike.

Was there today for a walk. Lot's of open water near weaselhead.

So went there today areound 5:30. Had nothing for the fist hour. At around 7 had a decent guy follow my lure and at 8 I had one guy on for 5 - 6 seconds before he got off :angry3: thats barbless for ya XD

I fished the open water by weaselhead for 2 hrs. 5:30 to 7:30pm. Tried lots of different lures. Nothing. You guys (Mish@) must have got into some action somewhere else, after you left Weaselhead. I guess I should have left as well. Oh well, its only going to improve. Still lots of ice.

I'm not sure if Glenmore is always like that, but there seems to be a heavy weed band around 15~20ft off the shoreline. I think glenmore's water level seems to be pretty low, so every cast I seem to get caught up in weeds. I even lost 2 of my favourite lures on an underwater tree, in two casts in a row. I didn't catching anything, but I'll definitely be going back. Maybe after the majority of the ice melts.
