I hit up 3 different lakes today. Skunked in all of them but enjoyed the day on the water.

First I hit up Hasse to see if the perch were still swimming. I only saw one dead one on the bottom but didn't see or catch any live ones.

Then I hit up Star. Talked to a few other people and nobody had any luck. Some fishing from shore and some in boats.

Then I hit Muir on the way home. Lots of carnage on the bottom but still some live ones there. I didn't catch any but another guy got 3.

No ice on any of the lakes but no fish in my boat.

All in all it was a great day for fishing.

No doubt. My first time to Muir. Surprised how shallow it is. Doesn't surprise me that it winterkilled. Most of the lake is less than 6' deep and with 3' of ice and then all the weeds in there to boot. It felt like fishing lake isle in august minus the algea.

I eill try it again though. Maybe let the water temps warm up first

I saw around a dozen dead on the ground belly up. Too bad, nthey were good size. The lake did survive and wil continue to be a great fishery though

wow, thats very surprising. I guess is expensive to increase the depth on the lake?

To drain the lake then move in earth movers to dig it deeper would be at least a million dollars.
