I know, I used to love fishing there in the summer for perch, but I doubt there's any left now

I doubt most of these fish would get the attention of birds and yotes....most of them look to have been dead for quite a while and starting to rot.

Its doubtful that the perch saw a 100% kill. Trout and the larger fish need more disolved oxygen and die out first. If there were little perch, and guaranteed there were if there were bigger ones present, they can almost survive anything. Its unfortunate, if its gonna kill and there were relocated perch youd like to see everything dead so you can start over with the trout.

I'm hoping that since it winterkilled it was total, if so they can start putting in trout again, that lake can be a decent trout fishery, I remember catching a bunch of them back in the day as well some fairly nice ones. The pike and perch fishery hasn't been anything like it was a number of years ago. I'm not to sure why the fishery quality is as poor as it was before the winterkill, there used to be more fishermen and more fish and bigger fish, I haven't seen a pike over 5 lbs for probably 8 or 10 years as well I haven't seen a perch over 10 inches for a while as well.
