Has anybody been to Lower K this week yet to see the ice conditions? I dont care if you saw it two weeks ago because I also saw it two weeks. I am looking for a recent report. When I was there we ice fished but there was a small area of open water at the dam. Has it opened up a lot?

I am trying to decide if I should head there tomorrow morning or if I should go fly fishing at Champion Lakes.

I am not really sure if that would help me much as I am wanting to go up too depending on ice.

It;s like everything in life if your not readly to take the chance who knows. Somebody has to do it. The scenery alone is just worth the drive the fish are the bonus.

You can always fish some grayling on the way home...unless that is frozen too

Great idea might hit wedge on the way out if it is open, have to check the regulations first though
