really? no one has caught an arctic grayling over 2.9lb since 1966:thinking-006:

In 1988 a grayling was caught that wieght was 3.2 lbs and was offically wieght and pictures but to be a new record he wouldn't disclose where he caught it from and where he caught this fish it has big grayling but gets no pressure at all

did you weigh that fish? looks like it would go under 2 pounds for sure but it is hard to judge from pictures - still a really nice grayling.

I weighed the fish but the scale may have been a bit off to think of it now. I would weigh 46 cm walleye and the scale would say that they would weigh 3lbs.

Yeah... the Grayling certainly seemed like a solid weight. It felt as if the Grayling weighed a fair amount more than a 45 cm walleye.

eh- who cares - it is bigger than any grayling I have ever caught...

the unfortunate thing about this guy is he ended up tangled in a tree 30 yards behind me as he bit right as I was pulling my fly off to recast...swam away ok though haha
