So if I missed this on another thread I apoligize but based on someone else post I just have to know ...Was Minnewanka Ice free and on opening day MAY 21ST for fishing?

Nop was at Two Jack yesterday and theres still alot of ice. Starting to see water, so hopefully with all this rain it will be opening up but next weekend.

Going to Two Jack today, hope to catch something.. my buddy caught 3 lbs few days back, as for Minnewanka still ice so have to wait for bit longer.....

Does anyone have any word on the ice lately? With all this rain, there must be enough water opening up in the next few days. Any shore water? any input? cheers!

just call the guided boat tours and see what they say , they will have all the info you need..

yea i just did and the fella was out of the office for 2 days. On their website, it says they opened on the 27th, but on the phone message it says June 1. So in acouple of days if Banff Cruise Tours is open, the lake must be at least around the edges one would think.

yeah I called too , he s gone till monday , but I may just go for a drive tomorrow and see what she looks like ... I do know it was snowing like crazy in canmore today .. seems we cant win nowa days, but if the lake is open I ll be there sunday !!
