I have a 08 90 hp merc 4 stk, when i changed the oil last fall it was "milky", changed it again this spring after a test run with muffs. Took it out to Cold lake for a days of fishing, trolling / about 30 min of high rpm's. Checked it again and it was milky again!! Has anyone elce had this problem??

Thanks for any info.

I think you may have a real problem. Water is what turns oil milky. You are getting water infiltration in the oil from somewhere. Sounds like a cracked top end of your engine.

Yes I agree. Water is mixing in with the oil.

Is this the oil in the motor or the gearcase that your talking about?

Would you mind putting it up here when you find out what the problem is. Too bad hearing about the warranty.

Took it to dealer and they talked to Merc who told them to change the thermostat. Not getting hot enough to burn off the condensation.
They changed it and I took it out now for abt 10 hrs trolling and running it, it seems fine, which suprised me.:sHa_shakeshout:
