It looks like the stocking report (up to date as of May 20th) is on the SRD website now (7 day lag time... NICE!!).

Notably, it also looks like the stockings are going to be delayed this year. It's a rather small list considering we're almost into June.

Peaked at Mt Lorette last weekend. Parking lot was full to the max. There had to be about 30 kids fishing from shore/dock.

I'm thinking the screwball weather this year has messed with their schedule a bit, but it'll come. Be patient!

Im sure cost is a factor, as most of the ponds will be fished out there is little point. I do believe for the delayed harvest lakes trips are starting to be used.

anyone remember the days when you could look in the regs and see all the lakes stalked with pike, walleye, and perch and there was no zero limits.
what are we selling all the alberta oil for if we can't even have revenue to maintain our natural lakes?

Nope dont remember that at all.

Lots of other things to spend the money on. Stocking fish shouldnt be a high priority (and isnt).

thu out the 80s the regs showed all lakes stocked.
Cold lake has all the facilitys all ready made for a fish hatchery including rearing ponds that don't see use. they supply alot of rainbows, great but why just fill every pothole with trout that will winter kill anyways. Its like buying a new car and leave it parked because you don't want to buy gas.

Yup it was awful. There was only a small school of around 20 fish in the pond getting whacked on the head with all the crossing lines and lures. Didn't have the heart to drop a hook into that madness.
