Brand of fishing boat, what would it be? Trying to do some shopping for a boat strictly for fishing. I know that I want fore and aft casting decks, but searching the web is driving me nuts, lol. What would you choose and why?

LUND, just out of all the boats ive been in, by far my favorite. Its a great fishing boat, and very comfortable! Its a well built boat too.

I saw a Thunder Jet boat at Travers for the first time so went home and did some research on it, now I want one really bad. Big, wide, deep and enclosed cab. Not many in Canada unfortunately so if you have one or know of anyone who owns one, please pm me.

The plastic dash in my Lund sucks, was replaced once on warranty then other side broke the next year, no warranty on that. Boat has always been stored indoors too. My next boat will not be a Lund

I have a 2010 Smokercraft 162 Pro-Angler with 50 H.P. Merc. 4 Stroke and am very pleased with it. Other top boats in my opinion are Sylvan, Crestliner, and Lund.

So I've noticed the recomendations so far are for deep v hull style boats. Why no bass style boats? And thanks for all the feedback so far.

Love my Alumacraft. Double hull on it makes it very quiet. Price points are affordable. Wide and heavy boat making it very stable but a little less speed to it. Really like that I can put any motor with it that I like and not stuck with a Merc (not that the Mercs are bad, I just don't like being forced into something).

lund-princecraft-crestliner-and 2 other cheaper makes are all owned by the brunswick company and they decide that Lund is their top name, Princecraft second, crestliner and so on, just like a car makers models, Lund is without question the most overpriced boat, like a harley you are paying for marketing and advertising sponsorships, prince craft is every bit as good and less $$ and crestliner( i have a 1600 fishhakwith 50hp merc') is also very good and a few $$ less than princecrafts, good selection and GREAT service at Free Spirit Marine 64avenue 99 street Emonton see Thane

Go to the tourney sites and it's mostly Lund or Alumacraft.
