I'm looking into buying new fins for my float tube. The ones I have that came with my tube give me blisters on my heels. These ones go over my wading boot, but I wouldn't mind fins that I can wear without boots either. Less weight to kick all day I'm thinking.

What kinds of fins do you guys suggest? Any advice?

Looked at the "Adjustable Deluxe Force Fins", those look great, but are slightly out of my price range. I was thinking something like "Creek Company Float Tube Fins" at Cabellas. Or the "Turbo Thruster Float Tube Fins" from BPS. Thoughts?

We use a fin that was very common 10+ years ago and less available today. They were made by Browning and later the had the name Trophy on them. They look very much like a scuba flipper and are made of a white translucent nylon type material. The boot part is black and has a flex rubber heel strap. Over the years we have tried them all and out of four of us that is the one we prefer. The last time I saw them for sale was at Flys Etc. in High River. Best of luck. Rick.

I hate those float tube fins that they sell - I use regular dive fins with the adjustable back strap. The style I use are relatively short, I believe they are called "training fins" at the dive shop.

I have caddis and force fins. My buddy has regular swim flippers. He seems to do better than I. I am switching.

Hmm regular swim/scuba fins? For some reason I thought those fins would be backwards from the fins I would want sitting in a tube. Like because you swim face down but in a tube you are really face up... if that makes sense.

My friends also have regular swim fins, but I thought I might get more power per stroke with a fin made for fishing.

Time to go shopping and try some scuba fins on I suppose!

I use the dive fins.
They are great for moving the tube around when the fight is on.

I have the caddis fins... my buddy has the force fins.. you have to put alot more effort into kicking with the caddis fins than the force.. if you have a little extra money I would truly recommend the force fins. Plus they are alot more comfortable.
