Just got back from a trip to Prince Rupert. Four of us went up, all first timers for ocean fishing. Had a great time, caught our limit of halibut and a few short of a limit on springs. Biggest hali was 70 lbs, biggest spring was 30. Had a double header on springs with my brother. Saw a kermode bear on the trip home. Here's a few pictures:

Looks like you guys had an awesome trip!! Congrats on the nice fish and great pics.
I've been curious as to the current chinook situation as I'm driving through Rupert to QCI ( Oops I mean Haida Gwai )next weekend. Looks like their was a few boats out on the water. I'll take that to indicate fishing is starting to pick up for the season.
Glad you guys had a great time on the wet coast.

Rocky, that bear was just this side of Terrace, on the side of the highway. He was fairly popular that day, lots of picture takers.

I can just imagine his popularity. Pretty cool thing to see.
I know last time I was in Terrace there were a ton of White Bear things.

Looks like that trip was a blast! Ever since I have hear about BC coastal fishing from when I was 10, I have always had an intense urge to want to fish the coast. Can't wait till I fish off of Sooke and possibly Port Renfrew in July!:sHa_shakeshout:
