I had a few hours to kill and a few tags to fill so I hit up Lac Ste Anne. The walleye seem to be liking anything resembling perch and the Xrap [prech seemed to be the ticket. I was in a canoe and fished about 50-150ft of the reeds near Sunset Point. Saw some good size variations and ened up keeping 2 for the table (tagged of couse). Seems to be a good population, :sHa_shakeshout: have fun out there!

I find the brid poo island is hit an miss. It's better to sit off the reed beds 50ft and cast in about 7-10ft of water especially in spring. IMO

I've had luck at the island in the past but slow this year there. I've landed tonnes the last 2 Sundays elsewhere in the lake. Look for structure, that lake is littered with rocks. If you find them, you will find fish.

I landed over 50 yetsterday and only 3 pike. All others Walleye.

We went weekend before last, had no issues catching lots of walleye. All were in the 47cm range but fairly skinny. We only kept 1 for dinner.Hoping to get the other 5 later in the summer when they have a chance to fatten up a little.
Hope I still manage to find them later in the year.

Saw that there is a mercury advisory for Lac Ste. Anne in the Regs. Anyone know how severe this is?

It's a published warning... consumption guidlines are also povided.

One likely is not going to die, you just might start developing a third eye or something.:bad_boys_20:
