Wow... Interesting reading on the forum these days from unbelievable generosity by the AO family helping those in need to heavy political bantering on racism and poaching with Donny and Marie and Hooters thrown into the mix.

Just wanted to give everyone an update on the Canada Post Strike and how it may affect the fly swaps, auctions and donations.

"Turning up the pressure, the union for postal workers has announced the start of rotating walkouts, beginning with Winnipeg, if a deal isn’t reached by the 11:59 p.m. EDT deadline Thursday.

In a union bulletin posted on the web site, the Canadian Union of Postal Workers said the Winnipeg local will be on strike for 24 hours, moving to other cities to be announced later."

So it seems they're not going to go full out at this point and cease mail service completely. It shouldn't affect us much other than a day or two delay if they continue this format and it seems like both sides really want to reach a deal.

There's a separate thread in the General Discussion if you feel like you want to voice an opinion on the strike itself.
