Double Tail Grub w/ Jig

What fish can I catch with this lure?
How do I fish it?
Is it better to use in lake or rivers?

you can catch anything with that.
jig it, cast and drag it. rip it through anything. troll it if you really want.
they are some of the most versitile lures out there.

Walleye, northern pike.
Bounce it off bottom, troll, just cast and plain old reel it in, depends on what the fish want.
Lake or river doesn't matter.
Thats just the short version.

This past winter my buddies little guy completely out fished us using one of these in bright orange with silver glitter. He was just jigging it off the bottom a few inches and landed 9 pike in just over 3 hours. I don't know how well these would work for Trout but Walleye and Pike are a diferent story. I just may have to try one myself this weekend out at Travers!

It might not be your best option. but yes it will catch trout.

If your talking lake trout, yes. If not I don't tink that would be the first hook I would grab. What kind of trout you what to catch?

I've done pretty good using jigs for trout, they need to be smaller but they do work. I usualy use the single tail jigs but they work on darn near anything in any kind of water.

I prefer the single rubber tail when fishing for walleye, if their not hitting on bait. But I've found the doubles work well for pike.

watch the masters. there are some better options for the trout spin fisherman. if you want to give it a go for smaller trout drop down to a 2" and use white. lakers and bulls love the larger varieties. there's no secret there.

reel those doubles in realy slow. my iterpretation of it is a double worm/leech
i also caught a pike testing it out at sylvan lake just seeing how its swims haha. black,white and chartuse worked great
