went out to the north saskatchwan river and didnt fish it but i did hike up a realy small streem and found 2 brookies in a plunge pool like 3km from the north saskatchwan. i didnt get to do anyfishing because our camp had other things planned but we got to see some pretty sick things like old cabbins/outhouses mine rests all around camp. graveyard and red eyes.
here are some pics
the north saschatchewan headwaters are pretty murky at this point almost a golden color.

We were there this weekend. NSR is high and murky which is to be expected but Shunda isn't bad at all. Very clean and clear. It's nice to see Shunda higher than a trickle for once!

if you walk all the way up past the shed on the top on the cliff where its hard to acces there some nice pools up there. tried to catchsome brookies with my hand but there too slippery.

On Shunda? Or the little trickle that flows into the NSR that is downstream further?
