So I woke up this morning and I thought I was dreaming.... the wife says I have to leave for a few hours to get the house ready for my birthday and suggests I go ice fishing. I was heart broken, but grudgingly decided to go to a local brookie lake.

The fishing was crazy. I couldn't even drop a second line down within the first hour because there wasn't enough time in between bites on the first line. I caught about 50 fish in 2 hours... nothing huge, but fun all the same.

Wow nice. I dont mind catching a bunch of fish in a morning either. Keeps ya on your toes.

What were you using for bait? How deep of water were you in?

Thanks Redfrog.

RyanGSP- I was fishing in about 6 feet of water using a Fire-eye Minnow. Bait wasn't necessary, but when the bite slowed down I just put a small piece of pink power bait on (replaced treble hook with single hook).
