Power Pro...30# has the diameter of 8#mono. Thats what I run on many of my baitcasters.

What line should I use on my baitcaster?
That's a good question. Many of us have our preferences but I really am not sure what to tell you. I have 30lb braid in one of mine and I like it. When I started casting a baitcaster I had many many birds nests. I got good at casting it and the nest few trips no problem and then the next, several birds nests again. I cannot imagine trying to unwind a birds nest with line so limp as PowerPro. It would drive me nuts or maybe even be impossible. What have others found about this. Is braid something a beginning baitcaster should consider? Pike'n'walleye I mean no disrespect to you. You may well have many more years experience at this than I do, I don't know. But, I would like to hear from others. Rick.
